Thank you for your continued support of CHU. With these changing times it’s imperative we keep you abreast of any changes to your clients’ strata insurance.

Key changes to CHU Landlords Insurance for Strata

We’ve made some key changes to the CHU Landlords for Strata product in relation to Rent Default.

Rent Default is currently unavailable for new customers from 14 May 2020. However, Rent Default will still apply to renewals or amendments of existing policies that were in place prior to 14 May 2020.

Please ensure you remove all old collateral referring to the CHU Landlords for Strata product from your website and reference all the latest collateral on the CHU Landlords Insurance for Strata product page on the CHU website under “Important documents”.

This includes:

1) CHU Landlords Insurance for Strata PDS and policy wording for policies effective 1 June 2019

2) CHU Landlords Insurance for Strata Supplementary PDS (for all new policies from 14 May 2020. This SPDS does not apply to renewals or amendments of existing policies)

3) Landlords Insurance Flyer from May 2020

Keeping all product documents up-to-date

It’s crucial to ensure all the product documents you’re using are still current and compliant at all times.

This includes:

Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and Policy Wording, including any Supplementary PDS
Financial Services Guide (FSG)
Quick Guide
Key Fact Sheet
Insurance Product Flyers

Please note, we encourage you to be paperless and therefore all new policies issued via StrataTech will have the required documents issued directly as an email attachment. Although this is the case, it is also important to check your physical stock of PDS and any relevant SPDS, Policy Wordings or Product Flyers in your office are still effective and up-to-date.
